Mountain biking in the Dolomites & in the Alps
Here we present you some of the most beautiful bike tours in the region.
Crossing Anterselva/Antholz – Valle di Casies/Gsies
A nice forest path leads up from the starting point in Anterselva di Mezzo/Antholz Niedertal to the Landegger alpine hut at a height of 1,850 m. Then, a relatively gentle trail goes out the valley to the Mudler Inn located at 1,580 m. Above Tesido/Taisten, a panoramic cycle path called “Talblickweg” goes on to S. Martino/St. Martin in Val Casies/Gsies.
There, you have to keep to the left and cycle on the path No. 36 into the valley, past mountain pastures and meadows until you reach the Samburg alpine hut at 1,970 m above sea level. From there, a well-preserved military track leads to the Ampertörl pass at 2,413 m. The first part is a little bit moss-covered; therefore, you may have to push your bike. From the pass, the stony military track goes back to the valley of Anterselva/Antholz and down to the Ochsenalm Hut. A serpentine forest path leads down to Anterselva di Mezzo/Antholz Niedertal.
