Bizarre rock formations, varied landscapes, countless animals and plants, sporting challenges and pleasant walks, regional delicacies and the typical hospitality… All these things entice active holiday-makers into coming to Val Pusteria/Pustertal at the foot of the Dolomites.

Mountain pastures & steep rock faces

Our Berghotel Zirm on Plan de Corones/Kronplatz is a perfect starting point for many activities in the Dolomites throughout the whole year. Geologists look for precious stones and fossils, whereas historians exchange stories about different important events.

Botanists and amateur gardeners are amazed at the diverse plant formation of the green mountain pastures. Gourmets enjoy tasty delicacies of the South Tyrolean cuisine on the panoramic terraces of rustic mountain huts and drink to a wonderful holiday with a glass of wine or a grappa.

Mountain guide:

„If you want to enjoy an open view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo/Drei Zinnen, you should go on a hike to Monte Paterno/Paternkofel opposite the famous monoliths in autumn.”

Ski Hotel on Plan de Corones/Kronplatz

The skiing area Plan de Corones/Kronplatz right in front of our Ski Hotel Zirm opens as soon as a blanket of snow covers the Dolomites. On its marvellous viewing platform, you have a fantastic view of the Dolomites and the Zillertal Alps, before you ski down on well-prepared ski runs.

During your skiing day, you will always have a view of the Rieserferner Alps, the Dolomites and the Zillertal Alps and enjoy the unique combination of alpine and Mediterranean elements.
